SO much has happened! I got a roux-en-y, also known as a gastric bypass. yes, I had my guts rerouted so that I could have a tool for weight loss and hopefully maintenance to improve my insulin sensitivity. 8 months out and I can say IT'S WORKING! (so far) I'm down 90 lbs and can walk without a walker or a cane. My eyes are holding steady, still have vitreal bleeds - other random health crap that usually kills folks, but I am here for the meantime. 30 years of T1 diabetes hasn't managed to kill me yet - so, we'll see. Stll in the same place in safe affordable housing, doing 2 honorarium positions because no one esle will DO them. (snert) I've been learning Clip Studio, tried Inkscape but it was too weird... we will see if I can actually produce any art at some point or other. I make no promises.

Well holy shit folks. Let me put this in bullet form.
Sept. 29, 2015: heart attack (angina, was in hospital awaiting angiogram)
Sept. 30, 2015: an IV site got infected with staph bacteria which rapidly turned into SEPSIS
October 1, 2015: Got super duper fever, IV antibiotics including vancomycin and others
October 2 - 5, 2015: antibiotics give me acute kindey failure - leaving me with 13% kidney function - emergency main line is installed, get haemodyalsis started that very day. Kidney biopsy reveals minor damage due to 25 years of Type 1 (auto immune) diabetes - but also reveals certain antibiotics are NOT my friends ever again. In a wee
